Hazey Jane are an Indie-Folk duo from London. Their songs explore joy, calm and friendship in a challenging world. Combining traditional Folk storytelling, close vocal harmonies and delicate acoustic guitars, Hazey Jane draw inspiration from Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell and Michael Kiwanuka.
Bobby and Laurent met at Secondary School, playing their first show together aged 14.
Following an incredibly successful Crowd-funder campaign, Hazey Jane’s debut EP ‘Us On A Wire’ was released in August 2016. Produced by Marcel Van Limbeek (Tori Amos) and Sander Van Laere (NAO, Mount Kimbie), this five-track release enthused Charlotte Harry of Vulture Hound magazine to proclaim, “Hazey Jane are a band that are ready, they will be great”.
On the back of ‘Us On A Wire’, the band independently booked their inaugural headline tour of the UK, selling out venues across the southeast.
Hazey Jane's second EP 'Lifeboat' was release in June 2018. Since, it has received taste-maker support from BBC Introducing London, Record of the Day and Sofar Sounds. Following 'Lifeboat's success, the band have performed at numerous UK Festivals including; Glastonbury, the great escape and Cambridge Folk Festival.
Hazey Jane released their recent EP 'Tell Me Why We Do This' to a sold out crowd at St Pancras Old Church. Available on all streaming platforms now.
